This blog is run by the people who bring you Sunrise Pashmina (www.sunrise-pashmina.com). Our primary project is the promotion of independent backpacker tourism as a vehicle for benign development; our original purpose in getting involved with Tsering Choekyap back in 1999 was to small craftspeople and entrepreneurs in the Freak Street area of Kathmandu, the traditional gateway to mountain treks.
We hope this blog will become a sort of bulletin board for people to share news, projects, and personal perspectives on Nepal.
